Who we are

Marung Telecomms is the responsible party for personal information collected on this website. We are based in Pretoria, Gauteng. You can reach us at info@marungtel.com or +27 73 662 7922.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, phone number and the service you are interested in. You may also give your property address, email address and a message. We use these details only to respond to your enquiry: to check coverage at your address, recommend a service and arrange a quote or installation.

When you check coverage

The coverage checker sends the address you type to a mapping service so it can be shown on the map. Marung does not store the address unless you also send it in an enquiry.

Analytics, only if you allow it

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the homepage and coverage page, such as where people click and scroll, so we can fix problems. They do not load unless you allow them. You can change your choice at any time with “Analytics settings” at the bottom of the homepage or coverage page.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that run this website for us:

• Website hosting and secure data storage providers
• A mapping service, for address search on the coverage page
• An analytics provider, only if you allow analytics
• Providers that deliver parts of the website, such as fonts

Our hosting and storage providers process your information only on our instructions, under written agreements that require them to keep it secure.

Some of this processing happens outside South Africa. Enquiries are stored in a country with data protection law that gives a level of protection comparable to POPIA. If you allow analytics, that data may be processed in other countries.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, those conversations are also subject to the privacy terms of those platforms.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months after your last contact with us. You can ask us to delete your information sooner by emailing info@marungtel.com.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. Email info@marungtel.com and we will respond as soon as we can.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
